Sustainable Cheshire Makes a Grand Entrance at Festival

Updated: Sep 19, 2021

The Cheshire Fall Festival, held on Sept. 11, at Bartlem Park in Cheshire, was the very first public appearance for the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire. It couldn't have been better.

The weather was great, as was the public turnout for the return of the Chamber's festival. The response to our booth was rewarding. CSC members and volunteers answered questions on various sustainability issues, along with talking about CSC projects, past, present and future.

Thank you to our volunteers and members assisting at the CSC booth. Many thanks also goes to Gary Richards from Cheshire West Community Butterfly Gardens, along with our members from the Cheshire Pollinator Pathway for partnering in this summer's Cheshire's Summer of Sunflowers. The town wide "community growing" project culminated with a selfie sunflower station at our table (Brilliant!). There were prizes, too! Congrats to the (randomly chosen) winners of our Summer of Sunflowers gift baskets!

Finally, a huge thank you to Yetta Augur and the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for organizing an amazing day for us all!
