A First: CSC's First Scholarship Award

Congratulations to Cheshire High School senior Josh Koppel, who received the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire's (CSC) first annual student scholarship.

As a student ambassador with UCONN"s Natural Conservation Resource Academy, Josh organized our town's first-ever Sustainability Fair in October 2021 and has been serving as a leader with our CSC Youth Environment Coalition (YEC). Recently, the YEC presented a Climate Emergency Resolution to the Environment Commission, which will soon be shared with Cheshire's Town Council. Josh will be attending University of Delaware's Honors College, where he intends to study International Environment Policy. He will begin his studies in Madrid, Spain in Fall of 2022.

We are incredibly proud to honor Josh and to recognize his service to our community in this way.
